Yikes! What a crazy flight. This patient was incredibly sick and we were all relieved to drop the patient off at Stanford. We welcomed a new member to our flight team, Scott and made him work hard on his first shift. We flew into John Wayne and picked up a patient at Hoag Memorial Hospital in Newport Beach. We then flew into San Jose, Ca. and transported the patient to Stanford university Medical Center. This trip was challenging, a trip and patient I will never forget.
