This morning, Wayne, Stacey and I went to Valencia, while Mariah and Caitlyn stayed in Puçol to bake some cookies.
In Valencia, I walked around the downtown area checking out shops and historic points of interest. It was 35°C out. À 15 h 00, nous sommes allés à un café pour déjeuner.
After lunch, we headed back to Puçol to sample the girls' cookies and get them packed up for their weekend away. Caitlyn's friend Rosa had invited the girls to go with her and her family to Gandía where her grandparents live - apparently there's a festival there this weekend. Rosa and her friend Tina arrived before 9 pm to pick up Mariah and Caitlyn - Gandía is about an hour's drive south of here - they're due back on Sunday.
Après les filles sont parties, nous (Wayne, Stacey et moi) avons mangé un délicieux repas du fettuccine avec une sauce aux tomates de cette région. We cooked thin slices of chicken on a hot stone with olive oil, garlic and spices. The whole meal was fantastic - thanks Wayne and Stacey...the presentation of the fettucini in the shape of birds' nests was quite unique! We stayed up chatting into the night.
