Cannes | Exploring Cannes
Aujourd'hui, j'ai exploré plus de Cannes. J'ai marché au Musée de la Castre.
I also walked through the narrow streets of the downtown area to see all the high-priced shops. Louis Vuitton bags start at 475€ (approx. $720 Cdn.) for a small 5" x 5" one.
Les prix des maisons sont encore plus chers que ceux à West Vancouver, mais les maisons ici sont plus petites.
Une plage à Cannes
The sand stretches for long distances east and west of the downtown core. Most of the beach is open to the public at no charge, but there are periodic parts of the beach that are "private" - there usually is a small restaurant, some with an enclosed and air-conditioned sunbathing area with reclining beach chairs, then closer to the water are outdoor chairs and large parasols - you pay to use the chairs and parasols by the hour.
After walking around all day in the 28+ C degree weather, I noticed when I got back to my room that I'd managed to burn the tops of my feet (where I hadn't put any sunblock), as well as my shoulders and right hand (where I had put sunblock).
